Vets2Vets Fundraiser Launch at the OPL - July 4th : All the regular 'troublemakers' were there...as usual (or in this case, for the first time) Stan Erhart organized everyone... Daniel Castro, Ron Thompson, Dennis Dove, Kenny Blue Ray, Pat Tinling, Pinkie Rideau and others I know I am forgetting...the bbq sandwiches and dungeness crab were flowing...the beer was cold and the Blues was HOT.

Blues Guitar Extravaganza - 10.4 : The Blues Guitar Extravaganza is by far the most professional Blues show in Northern California. You get to see the very best of the best, paired up with more of the best of the best as our fearless leader and gracious host Rene Solis packs them in again and again down at the Little Fox Theater in Redwood City. October 4th, Rene put together all my local favorites and it was like Christmas watching these guys command the room over and over again. Rene Solis, Jeff Watson, Daniel Castro and the legend himself...Ron Thompson with Artie 'Stix' Chavez jumping in to guest at the very end of the show. I literally stood there with my mouth open. Rene worked the Mojo; Jeff killed em with Rebecca, Rebecca; Daniel got the room so quiet you could hear a pin drop with his instrumental piece (you can see it yourself on YouTube); and Ron Thompson had my hair standing on end when he did Boom Boom Boom my favorite.. oh man...WHAT A NIGHT!!! (I should take time here to mention I'm sorry I don't have more pictures of Rene... he is such a fantastic guitarist...and he moves really, really fast. His body pulls with every bend, he rocks with every bar... and he never stops moving. So, if you shoot in ISO mode - without a flash - like I do, it's almost impossible to get a clean crisp shot of Rene...so, I did my best.)
